The Key of Noticing
Objectives
- Name one way they already help or encourage someone.
- Tell the difference between what they noticed and what they guess it means.
- Choose one small, safe kindness and check it with a trusted adult first.
Activities
- 2 min
Welcome and verse. Read 1 Peter 4:10 together: “As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another.” Ask: who is the gift for?

Story moment. Read the first scene of “The Face in My Prayer.” Pause where Mireya notices a face and asks her grown-up for help.
- 4 min
Notice or guess?. Say short sentences. Children show a palm for “I noticed” and a fist for “I'm guessing what it means.” Celebrate both, and name the difference.
- 3 min
Key card. Each child draws one small kind thing they could do this week and shows a grown-up before doing it.
- 2 min
Close. Pray or pause quietly. Remind everyone: small keys open big doors, and we always ask a trusted adult.

This week our class explored Key Seekers Adventures, a faith-based adventure about how God gives every child ways to love others. Your child practiced noticing carefully, not guessing, and checking with a trusted adult before acting. Ask them: “What small kind thing did you pick?” and help them do it safely. You can explore the free activities together at home; no account is needed. Gift results are invitations to explore, never labels or diagnoses.

Privacy, safeguarding and accessibility
What happens to data today
- Without an account, play progress, Gift Quest answers and HEART Path drafts stay in this browser on this device only.
- The classroom sample needs no child sign-in, and we never ask for children's names.
- The private journal saves to the cloud only when a grown-up signs in. Entries are private unless that adult shares them, and caregivers can export, revoke and delete.
- The optional “Encourage me” helper sends only the reflection text to an AI service. Leave it off in class.
- On a shared device, use the caregiver reset in Play Mode between groups.
Safeguarding and adult discretion
- An adult leads every session. Children are taught to bring everything to a trusted adult.
- If a child shares something worrying, follow your school's safeguarding policy. This app is not counseling.
- Teachers and caregivers decide what fits their children and their faith community.
No labels for children
- Gift results are playful invitations to explore, not tests, diagnoses or placements.
- Please don't record results in student files or group children by them.
- We make no claims about learning or spiritual outcomes. Family pilot feedback is still being gathered.
Accessibility: what we have and haven't checked
- Checked: keyboard use and visible focus in the main game, screen-reader labels in Play Mode, larger tap targets, reduced-motion support, and a read-aloud voice for the story.
- Not yet done: a formal accessibility audit, testing with assistive-technology users, and translations.
