Our Privacy Posture for Families

Key Seekers Adventures is built around parent control and data minimization. Journal entries, drawings, quiz results, and progress are designed to be stored on the family's own device wherever practical, and are not required to be transmitted to Dr. Brown Cares LLC.

A child-directed service that collects personal information from children under thirteen can engage obligations under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. We ask adults to set up and supervise access, and we avoid collecting personal information from children.

Information Collected

• Account information provided by an adult, such as name and email address.
• Cookies and similar technologies used for session continuity and preferences.
• Analytics regarding pages viewed and features used.
• Platform metrics such as completion of activities in aggregate form.
• Device information such as browser type, operating system, and screen size.
• Usage logs including timestamps and error diagnostics.
• Communication preferences and messages sent to support.
• Optional research information, only where separately consented.

Information We Ask You Not to Provide

• A child's full name, school name, address, or photograph in free-text fields.
• Names of other people in journal entries, unless a trusted adult approves.
• Health information about any identifiable person.

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies and local storage are used to keep progress, remember preferences, and keep sessions secure. Analytics are configured to be aggregate and privacy-preserving. Adults may clear local data at any time from within the app or through browser settings.

Security Practices

Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are used, including encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege administration, logging, and periodic review. No system is perfectly secure.

Retention and Deletion

• Locally stored family content remains on the device until deleted by the family.
• Account records are retained while the account is active and for a limited period afterward for legal and security purposes.
• Usage logs are retained for a limited operational period and then deleted or aggregated.
• Deletion requests may be submitted by the adult account holder and are honored within a reasonable time, subject to legal obligations.

International Users

The platform is operated from the United States. Users outside the United States understand that information may be processed in the United States. Where local law provides additional rights of access, correction, portability, objection, or erasure, those requests may be submitted by the adult account holder.

Artificial Intelligence

• AI outputs are informational.
• Users remain responsible for independent judgment.
• AI may generate inaccurate information.
• Outputs require professional review.
• AI continually evolves.
• AI is never a substitute for Scripture, prayer, pastoral wisdom, trusted-adult guidance, or professional care.
• Children should not interact with any AI feature except alongside a participating adult.

Security

Dr. Brown Cares LLC reserves the right to:

• suspend accounts
• investigate misuse
• terminate suspicious activity
• monitor security events
• require multifactor authentication
• modify security controls

Children and Adult Participation

Key Seekers Adventures is designed for children to use together with a parent, guardian, or other trusted adult. It is not designed for unsupervised use by a child.

A parent or guardian must set up access, remain reasonably available during use, and review anything a child records, draws, or chooses to share.

Nothing in this experience replaces the responsibility of parents, guardians, pastors, teachers, licensed clinicians, or other responsible adults.

• Adults retain responsibility for all health, safety, family, educational, financial, and legal decisions.
• Children are encouraged to bring every dream, image, impression, question, or concern to a trusted adult.
• The activities teach gentle, invitational language and never instruct a child to keep a spiritual experience secret from a parent or guardian.
• The activities never direct a child toward a private relationship with any adult outside the child's own trusted circle.
• Adults should discontinue use and seek appropriate pastoral, educational, or clinical support if a child becomes distressed.

Dispute Resolution

Disputes proceed through the following sequence:

• good faith negotiation
• confidential mediation
• confidential binding arbitration
• waiver of jury trial
• waiver of class actions to the extent permitted by law
• remote, virtual, and asynchronous proceedings where appropriate

Governing Law

These agreements are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws principles, because Dr. Brown Cares LLC is the contracting entity.

General Provisions

• Entire agreement.
• Amendment only in writing.
• Electronic signatures and electronic acceptance are valid and binding.
• Severability.
• No waiver.
• Assignment by the user requires written consent; assignment by Dr. Brown Cares LLC is permitted.
• Force majeure.
• Notices may be delivered electronically to the address on the account.
• Export-control compliance where applicable.
• Sanctions compliance where applicable.
• Survival.

• Interpretation is neutral and not against the drafter.
• Counterparts where signed agreements are used.
